March Madness TV setups for the ultimate viewing experience
March Madness season means it's time to upgrade your TV setup. Watching March Madness games is one of the highlights of basketball season, but if you don't have a great TV setup, you're not truly experiencing the games as much as you could. A better setup for March Madness means you can watch the games more clearly and hear everything the coaches, fans, players and refs are yelling. A new TV with crystal-clear picture and sound is a must. Or, you can upgrade the TV you currently have with a new soundbar system and a streaming device like Roku Sticks, Apple TV or an Amazon Fire Stick.
This TV is great for Alexa fans, not film buffs
The F20 series generally delivers decent overall picture quality, but with some small discrepancies that we didn't see from the competition in our tests. The TV's overall color production is lacking, and its tendency to overemphasize blue hues can create imbalances during low-light and highlight scenes. On the other hand, the TV's build quality and Fire TV experience are quite robust. If you're a big fan of telling Alexa what to do or vastly prefer Amazon's Fire TV platform over something like Roku TV, you may not mind these concessions in picture quality. But if you want the best picture quality in this price range (so far), alongside one of our favorite smart platforms, you should really check out the TCL 3-Series instead.

This Roku TV is a great way to jump into 4K for less
Starting at just $349 for the 43-inch model, the 4-Series is as affordable as it is flexible: This series runs the screen size gamut from 43 to 85 inches and even comes in software variants, with Roku (the version we tested), Google, and Android smart platforms available depending upon retailer and region. But no matter which one you buy, you're getting 4K resolution, HDR compatibility, and solid general picture quality. There are some reasons you might want to spend a bit more. This is an entry-level 4K TV, and despite being HDR compatible, it's simply not bright or colorful enough for good HDR performance. The basics of its picture are solid, but it's not equipped to be a great choice for current game consoles, and its backlight isn't powerful enough for especially bright rooms.

A couple of the newest TCL Roku TVs are back on sale again at Best Buy. The last time we saw a sale on the 8-series sets was around the July 4th holiday, but you can get an even better deal on one of those TVs now. The 65-inch TCL 8-series Roku TV is $1,000 right now, which is 50 percent off its normal price, but the massive 75-inch TCL 8-series Roku TV dropped to $1,500. Which streaming stick should I buy for Disney ?
My smart TV is old (Samsung, 2014) so I watch BBC iPlayer on my Now TV box (also old and discontinued). What is the best device for all the popular streaming services including the upcoming Disney? To my knowledge, it is not yet confirmed if it will be available on my Roku-powered Now TV box. You may be in luck, because Disney has just signed a deal with Sky. As a result, Disney will be available via Sky from its UK launch on 24 March, to be followed by Now TV in the coming months, says Sky. It's not clear how many months that means.

TCL is working on 8K Roku TVs with built-in voice control
It was only a matter of time. Today, TCL announced that it's working on a range of 8K HDR TVs, called the 8-Series, that will launch in the US later this year in a variety of screen sizes starting at 75 inches. All of these TVs will run Roku's lightweight software and support upscaling for 4K and 1080p content, as well as "the latest HDMI standards," ensuring they play nice with future consoles and set-top boxes. The 8-Series will also offer Quantum Contrast, a new backlight technology based on mini-LEDs, and QLED, which uses Quantum Dots to improve color brightness and intensity. TCL also revealed that some models will come with an "integrated high-performance far-field mic array."

Roku TV Wireless Speakers: Price, Specs, and Release Date
The modern TV experience is an odd combination of technological advancements and drawbacks. Thanks to streaming video, we have more content options than ever; thanks to advances in displays, our TVs can be as thin as pencils. Sound quality, however, has suffered; the physics of flat-panel televisions are hardly conducive to booming audio. Roku knows this, and has a plan to improve the sound on the TVs that come with its Roku software built in: The company is going to start selling speakers. The Silicon Valley-based maker of streaming boxes, sticks, and software has just announced a two-speaker bundle, called the Roku TV Wireless Speakers.
It's time for cord cutters to embrace the smart TV
A few years ago, I refused to even consider using a smart TV's built-in software over an external streaming box. The experience was typically too sluggish, the app selection too limited, and the features too far behind the times. Although I've bought three TVs in as many years, software was never part of my decision-making. But as I look back at CES, the tech industry's TV-centric mega-tradeshow held in Las Vegas last week, I'm starting to reconsider. Smart TVs are increasingly becoming first-class experiences, superior to what you'd get with a dedicated streaming box or stick.
